As the founding family of Illuminate we have been – and will continue to be – touched by ADHD in many ways. In June of 2005, after many years of confusion, frustration, denial and occasional moments of humor, a member of our family was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 42.
We were extremely fortunate to have gone through the assessment, diagnosis and treatment process at the Hallowell Center, founded by the respected psychiatrist and ADHD expert, Dr. Edward Hallowell.
Our interaction with the individuals at the Hallowell Center – from the receptionist, through to Dr. Hallowell – has served as the inspiration for creating a center in the Twin Cities that is modeled after the Hallowell Center.
We have worked closely with the team at the Hallowell Center as well as with prominent pediatricians, psychologists and psychiatrists from across the country as we have defined the mission, values and services we represent.
The creation of Illuminate - an ADHD Center that can provide an exceptional level of care and treatment - has truly been a labor of love. We hope that you will benefit from our efforts to bring you the best of the best.
